Finally, the Android 12 December Security Patch is rolling out on Google’s latest Pixel 6 series. The update brings a long list of bug fixes and other enhancements.
Features of December Security Patch on Pixel 6 series
In this December patch, Google has primarily focused on the “audio playback issues in certain apps.” It also includes wider international availability of fingerprint improvements, distorted Bluetooth audio, and better Quick Tap performance.
Coming to the additional features, the update includes this month’s Feature Drop with UWB, which allows users to “hold the back of your phone towards the other device” for Nearby Share (according to Pixel Tips after updating), change the length of time you must hold the power button for Assistant, and more.
Meanwhile, for the Pixel 6 Pro, the December Security Patch will provide support for the handset “to receive up to 23 watt charging” on the 2nd-gen Pixel Stand.
