After endless rumors about the Pixel watch and Pixel 6a, finally, some concrete evidence about their existence has started to appear. Actual proof of both devices has recently surfaced in the back-end inventory system of a US carrier. Furthermore, we also get a peek into the colors and storage options for both devices.
According to the recent reports from Androidpolice, the Pixel Watch has appeared in a US carrier’s inventory system under the codename “Rohan.” Meanwhile, the database suggests that the device will be available in three colour variants: grey, black, and gold.
The storage on this watch is expected to be 32GB which is twice the capacity of the Galaxy Watch4 and equals the Apple Watch for the most storage available on a smartwatch.
Because this carrier has yet to sell a non-cellular smartwatch, it seems reasonable to assume that the Pixel Watch will be available in a cell-enabled version. The pricing or release date information is still under the rugs.
The handset appeared with the codename “bluejay” in a carrier database which lines up with the previous leaks and reports. Like the watch, the handset too will be available in three colors, black, white, and green. Meanwhile, all three colors variants would have 128GB of storage.
Given that both of these devices are appearing in carrier backends at the same time, it’s likely that they’ll launch at the same time. The Pixel 6a could launch in May, around the time of Google I/O, according to leaker Max Jambor, so it’s entirely possible that all of this new hardware will arrive in time for summer.
