Google announced the Android 12L for larger displays and foldable devices. Google promises to make it easier to use on the said display resolutions.
Android 12L focuses on ease of use for larger displays and brings some optimizations for the devices. For instance, the notification panel and the quick settings have been moved to separate columns.

During the setup of a new device, you will get to see more information thanks to the new two-column arrangement for more details. In some sections, you do not need to move out of the section to switch to another menu, for example – Wallpapers settings.

To deal with the multitaskers, Google has added a taskbar for the larger devices. In fact, you can also do the drag and drop or split-screen to run two different apps. For instance, you can watch anime and chat at the same time.
Android 12L will start rolling out to all tablets and will be collaborated with tablet manufacturers for their specific device updates.
