New benchmarks from some reliable sources point towards the key specification of the Pixel 6a. Though , the sources reveal nothing particularly surprising about the SoC, RAM, or timing.
Back in November, reports revealed that the 6a will come with the similar Tensor chip as the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro. Later, we also learned that the 2022 mid-ranger is codenamed “Bluejay” internally.
The Model and Model ID for the Geekbench 5 benchmark (via MySmartPrice) are “Google Pixel 6a,” which was humorously leaked by a colouring book, and the Motherboard is “bluejay.” In line with other Tensor-powered devices, the chip’s Governor is “sched pixel.”
The benchmark’s CPU Information section is identical to that of the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro. Two ARM Cortex-X1 cores running at 2.8 GHz, two “mid” 2.25 GHz A76 cores, and four high-efficiency/small A55 cores are included.
The RAM count of 5.43GB or 6GB is the only new Pixel 6a spec we’re testing today. This is the same colour as the Pixel 5a (and 4a) it will be replacing in the lineup. This is less than the Pixel 6’s 8GB (and the 6 Pro’s 12GB), and it makes sense as a cost-conscious differentiator and a reason for people to upgrade.
