Google will reveal its intentions to take this to the next level at Google I/O 2022, with a new ‘immersive’ view slated to roll out in key cities worldwide in its google maps.

The immersive view may incorporate traffic, and weather conditions, and even allow you to turn back the clock to observe historical data and give you a gorgeous Earth-style 3D look at cities.
Instead of depending on manually captured Street View indoor imagery, Google has been able to create some highly cool-looking virtual flybys from existing photos, giving users a sneak peek at what to expect.

An immersive view will be implemented city by city, with only major cities such as Los Angeles, London, New York, San Francisco, and Tokyo confirmed thus far. The first of these will go live later this year.
