Google just launched the Pixel 6a at I/O 2022. The company has now stated which countries and prices the handset will be available in.
With the launch of the inexpensive Android smartphone, Google is focused on a few major markets, similar to the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro. The Pixel 6a, on the other hand, will be available for pre-order starting July 21 in the United States and Japan.
There is no information on when other global regions will be able to pre-order the Pixel 6a, but we expect it to be available in 14 countries. This is a rise over the Pixel 6 series, as the Tensor-powered smartphone will be the first Pixel gadget to arrive in India in an official capacity since 2020.
While open sales and pre-orders are not yet accessible, Google Store listings for the Pixel 6a are live in the following countries and territories, with pre-order prices and currently visible color options noted:
|Australia||AU$749||Sage, Chalk, Charcoal|
|Canada||CA$599||Sage, Chalk, Charcoal|
|France||€459||Sage, Chalk, Charcoal|
|Germany||€459||Sage, Chalk, Charcoal|
|Italy||€459||Sage, Chalk, Charcoal|
|Japan||￥53,900||Sage, Chalk, Charcoal|
|Republic of Ireland||€459||Charcoal|
|Spain||€459||Sage, Chalk, Charcoal|
|Taiwan||NTD$13,990||Sage, Chalk, Charcoal|
|United Kingdom||£399||Sage, Chalk, Charcoal|
|United States||$449||Sage, Chalk, Charcoal|
In all of the countries where the Pixel 6a will be available, Google has kept the pricing low. However, with a far larger selection of decent mid-rangers from Xiaomi, Poco, Realme, and Oppo, among others, in many global countries, it’s unclear how well the 6a will fare.
