As much as a rumor can, today’s news appears to “confirm” the knowledge that Samsung intends to give the next Galaxy S23 Ultra a 200 MP camera, which has already been mentioned several times.
Sources from Samsung’s native Korea claim that the company has notified “important camera partners” that the next iteration of its flagship gadget would feature a 200 MP camera. By the time the Galaxy S23 is released, the 108 MP resolution that is currently in use will be three years old. It debuted with the Galaxy S20 Ultra two years ago.
In order to rival Motorola’s X30 Pro, which was launched earlier this month, and, according to rumours, also to match the incoming Xiaomi 12T Pro, Samsung will once again play the numbers game. Samsung may employ a new sensor for its own smartphone rather than one it also offers to competitors, even though the resolution may be the same.
